Have your ever cooked something from a recipe?

Postby Deadpool » September 22nd, 2016, 11:58 am

How did it turn out? Was it from a Youtube cooking video? Was it just as good as how they did it or how you expected it to taste? Or did it taste or turn out totally not how you'd envision it to be. Did you substitute something in the recipe for something else and did that help or worsen it?

What is the best thing you've ever made from a recipe and what was the worst.

Very often. Varied places. It usually ended up good. Substitutes vary.

There was this one time during High school's cooking class when i was in charge of doing a tiramisu for my table.

Now we got all of the ingredients and measurements on a paper, and on my paper there was written "2/3 dl of sugar" (dl standing for decilitre). What it meant was two thirds of a decilitre, what i interpeted it as was 2 or 3 decilitres of sugar.

Let's just say that it ended up looking a bit flat, but it was still perfectly fine tiramisu. Least that's what i told everybody when they forced me to eat it all by myself, because apparently it was too sweet for them.

Guess who didn't get to do the desserts ever again after that.
